Meta Business
Messaging

Product Design Lead ~ 1 year

To drive Meta's Business Messaging initiatives, Punchcut’s product design team focused on projects aimed to enhance business messaging outcomes.

Key Achievements

🔮Vision

BMX teams and Punchcut worked in tandem to shape future forward messaging initiatives, helping develop and test new experiences with engineering teams.
🧩
Implementation
With a user-centric and detail oriented approach, we crafted E2E flows, exploratory designs, specs and prototypes to help successfully facilitate reviews and user-testing.

🔗
Co-Creation

In collaboration with several BMX teams, we worked iteratively to problem solve and create effective, as well as impactful designs for the future of business messaging.

Project Initiatives

Our collaborations produced efficient, focused, and design-driven outcomes. Each product designer on our agile team of 4 to 6 took ownership of specific projects, with myself as team lead guiding and driving our design acceleration efforts with Meta. Spanning multiple products within Meta’s Business Suite, our work centered on the main three themes, highlighted through a few selected projects below.

Before

Business owners had to manually input data from prospective customers for appointments during conversations, a time-consuming process that moved their attention from other priorities.

After

One solution proposed was for business owners to have pre-populated information during their conversations with consumers flow into an inquiry form by integrating natural language processing into the business messaging API.

Main Themes

💬
Meaningful Conversations to Generate Leads

We sought to equip and empower small businesses and consumers with tools to further personalize the messaging experience during conversations to ultimately gain leads.
🗓️
Flexible Bookings

Catering to service businesses, we worked to increase organic bookings per day and reduce friction within the current 1st party appointment booking tool.

🔒
Reliable Connections

With transparency and trust at the core, our goal was to use trust signals to maintain credibility of businesses, and increase consumer confidence when messaging.

Main Takeaways

Our efforts helped strengthen the connection between businesses and consumers, recognizing that at the core, it's all about people wanting to connect with others. Whether through conversations, service exchanges, or meaningful relationships, our partnership with Meta and my leadership at Punchcut put user-centric design at the forefront, ensuring messaging experiences remained simple, effective, and authentic.
